Urdhva Muka Svanasana (upward facing dog)

works the leg muscles. the back bend works on your lumbar spine as well as your shoulders. opens your chest and heart centre. the movement is good for those suffering with lumbago, sciatica, slipped or prolapsed discs. Blood circulates in the pelvic area.












How to do this:

Balance on your palms and tops of the feet, so your knees are away from the mat. If there is too much pressure on the lumbar spine, you can place your knees on the mat.
