Our Pose of the Week: Warlord (Virbadrasana)

This pose strengthens your legs, ankle and knee joints, hips, shoulders and arms. Also enhances poise, balance and stability.

How to do this one:

Turn left foot out 90 degrees.
Back leg (right) the core of the pose. Push strongly into back foot. Knee tight, not bent.
Left knee turns out towards the little toe. Knee is above heel.
Torso is upright and vertical
Stretch from shoulders into fingers, arms parallel with ground.
